Privacy Notice

1. Scope and responsible organization

This Privacy Notice applies to the public website at claimcompass-demo.kneco.com, including its contact form. KNECO, Inc. is responsible for the processing described here. This notice does not govern a future pilot, production deployment, customer portal, or other service that is subject to a separate agreement or privacy notice.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

The contact form may collect your organization name, name, work email address, role or accreditation context, area of interest, message, and confirmation that you accepted the site terms and did not include sensitive information.

Technical and security information

When you use the site, KNECO and its hosting providers may process limited technical information such as IP address, request time, browser or device information, requested URL, and diagnostic or security events. The current contact endpoint uses an IP address in volatile memory for basic rate limiting. KNECO does not use the public site for targeted advertising and does not intentionally deploy advertising cookies.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• respond to demonstrations, stakeholder, pilot, or licensing inquiries;
• evaluate potential organizational relationships and maintain business correspondence;
• operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the public site;
• prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and unauthorized activity; and
• comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect KNECO, users, and others.

We do not use contact-form information to make VA claim decisions, provide claimant representation, create veteran profiles, or add information to a veteran claim file.

4. How we disclose information

We may disclose information:

• to service providers that host the site, deliver email, provide security, or support operations, subject to appropriate restrictions;
• within KNECO to personnel who need the information for the purposes described above;
• when required by law, legal process, or a lawful government request;
• to protect rights, safety, security, and property or to investigate misuse; or
• in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.

KNECO does not sell personal data submitted through this site and does not process it for targeted advertising.

5. Retention

Contact submissions are delivered to KNECO’s business email and may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage a potential or existing business relationship, maintain business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Technical logs and rate-limit data are retained according to operational and provider settings; the application’s current in-memory rate-limit entries expire after approximately one hour and are not a contact database.

KNECO may delete unsolicited sensitive information without reviewing or retaining it, subject to legal obligations.

6. Security

KNECO uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the public site and information collected. The site uses HTTPS, server-side validation, field limits, anti-spam controls, security headers, and restricted business-purpose collection. No transmission, email system, or storage method is completely secure, and KNECO cannot guarantee absolute security.

Do not send sensitive, regulated, confidential, privileged, or claimant-specific information through the public form or ordinary email. KNECO will establish an approved method if a future authorized discussion requires protected information.

7. Your choices and privacy requests

You may choose not to submit the form and may contact KNECO directly by email. Where applicable law provides a right to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or to appeal a prior privacy decision, submit the request to claimcompass@kneco.com. We may verify your identity and authority before acting on a request.

Because the site does not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising, no sale or targeted-advertising opt-out is currently necessary for this site.

8. Children

The site is directed to organizations and professionals and is not intended for children under 18. KNECO does not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site.

9. External services and links

The site may link to external sites or use service providers such as Microsoft Azure. Their services are governed by their own privacy notices and terms. KNECO is not responsible for external sites that it does not control.

10. Changes and contact

KNECO may update this notice to reflect changes in the site, operations, or law. The effective date above identifies the current version.
